About the Artist - Susana Diaz Rivera, what defines her?
Primordial in her art are mastery of color and texture, a signature of Impressionism, staccato brush-strokes that define light and shadows in her landscapes and intricate mixtures of color that create vibration. Her work has been influenced by the English painters Turner and Constable and by the Impressionists, Van Gogh and Monet.
Born in Mexico City, she is a passionate artist. Reflected in her work is a love for her country and her technical skills are the instrument she uses to express that passion, which transcends and permeates her imagery.
Deeply inspired by the deserts of Baja, she has been traveling the peninsula for more than 15 years in search of its beauties. She has held more than thirty exhibitions and her work is being collected in Mexico, Europe and the United States. She lives in Mexico where she is preparing the work for future exhibitions.
