Galeria La Poza in the Posada La Poza whose walls are graced by the art of one of the owners, Libusche Wiesandanger.
 
Libusche was born and raised in Prague, Czech Republic. She studied at the Art and Design School in the University of Prague. Libusche moved to Switzerland in 1968 where she took specialized studies at the Zurich Art and Design School. While studying there she developed her affinity for painting in oils and acrylics.
 
For 3 years she was modeling delicate figures of abstract females with an alien touch. She became well known among modern puppet sculptors and collectors throughout Europe. You can feel this 3 dimensional experience in her paintings which show the human body in motion or in special light. The degree of abstraction in her works leaves the observer space for their own interpretations. Her more recent works display a Mexican influence.


Libusche's work has gained a reputation in Switzerland. Her works have been exhibited in galleries throughout Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Baja, California. Her work is permanently displayed at Galerie Kontrast and her own gallery, Libusche Gallery, in Switerland as well as the Galeria La Poza.
 
Libusche visited Todos Santos with her husband, Jurg, in 1998. They were so overcome by the magical atmosphere that they moved here the next year and have built a very impressive hotel and restaurant in the La Poza area of Todos Santos, the Posada La Poza El Gusto! Restaurant.
 
The gallery is open every day except Thursday from 11:30am to 9pm.
 
The Galeria La Poza is located in the Colonia La Poza in Todos Santos. Just follow the signs off of Calle Santos Degollado toward the Pacific Ocean.
